Hugo Zarate

Currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Engineering Management, Texas A&M University
Hugo joined the Haas team in 2018. He holds a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining Haas, Hugo worked as a System Engineer for one of the largest commercial AV companies in the US, where he designed and oversaw the completion of elaborate projects such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Mexico. Hugo comes to work each day with a passionate and energetic spirit that keeps our team motivated and our clients happy.
Cameron Jozwiak
Senior system Designer
A.A.S. Engineering Design, Wharton County Junior College
Cameron brings years of experience and unrivaled attention to detail to our Design & Engineering team. Before joining Haas, he was an AutoCAD Specialist for a national commercial AV company. Cameron works behind the scenes drawing sophisticated plans for each system so that when it comes time to install, our technicians, clients, and trade partners are all on the same page. In addition to completing his studies in Engineering Design and becoming an accomplished system designer, Cameron has been playing percussion for 10 years.
Kyle Varner

Kyle joined the Haas team in 2022 with 8 years of experience in the AV industry. His enthusiasm and easy going personality brings daily joy and cohesion to our Design and Engineering team. When he’s not meticulously designing projects, you can find him playing the drums, reading, and cooking — especially BBQ. Kyle especially enjoys spending time with his finacee and taking their dog to parks.

Angel Bernal

With 18 years in the industry, Angel's tech journey started at 16, managing his high school's IT department. While he began his educational pursuits in computer systems, his passion for the industry led him to work! He was recommended to Bi-National Telecommunication companies in Mexico and the US, starting as an LV Tech, then quickly promoted to Design Engineer. Angel designed for world recognized manufacturing companies such as Coca Cola and Bose, where he honed his skills in telephony, access controls, networking, and more. When transferred to the US office, Angel additionally founded "AnDa I.T. Solutions" in San Diego, setting new service standards in the region. Haas recruited Angel to Texas to assist in service management. Angel is now Haas’s Director of Operations, passionately navigating the best team in the industry to deliver the best service in Texas. Outside of work, you can find Angel working on his off roading vehicles and seeking adventures with his wife!
Ernesto Estrada

Ernesto has been bringing his unmatched eye for perfection to the Haas team since early 2018. His multidisciplinary education in Mechatronics from one of the most prestigious schools in Latin America gave Ernesto a refined understanding for intricate electrical and mechanical systems. That, paired with his constant commitment to quality, makes him an authority for the systems we design at Haas. No project is complete without thorough review from Ernesto because no project at Haas is complete until it is perfect. Ernesto’s dedication to quality allows us to maintain the Haas standard of excellence and continue exceeding expectations.

Michael manages the constant movement of inventory from our manufacturers to our warehouse, and ultimately to our clients. He worked in inventory management for 3 years prior to joining the Haas team.

A native Austinite and proud University of Texas alumnus, Mark joined the Haas team with 11 years of experience in the construction industry, including hands-on and operational work in renewable energy, inventory management, and customer service. Mark’s energetic style and commitment to excellence elevates our team and our ability to serve our clients. “Weekend-mode” Mark enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and watching and participating in motorsports.

Originally from San Antonio, April moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin. Now she’s taken on the AV field and loves the combination of creativity, problem-solving, and diligence that her role at Haas provides. In her free time, she pursues activities that keep her body moving and her mind working such as BJJ, highlining, and hiking (the PCT). April’s energy is a reminder for the team to “go big or go home.”
Dulce Diaz

Dulce brings 17 years of customer service experience to Haas. She came to us after 10 years in the retail banking industry, and we were lucky to bring her on board! She shares the same passion of making an impact in the community. On a more personal level, Dulce grew up 30 minutes from the crystal water beaches of the pacific coast of Mexico but now lives in Austin, TX going on 18 years- now happily married with two beautiful dogs. She loves the city and the people here.

Michael brings many years of experience in the AV Industry to his role at Haas. He has certifications in Crestron, Lutron, and Savant systems, and his current goal is to continue growing as a programmer. Michael is from Fort Worth, TX and loves to travel, spend time with his family and his dogs, and explore Austin’s craft beer scene.

Luis was born in Tijuana, Mexico and has also lived in San Diego. Now in Austin, Luis feels like he has experienced living in the best places in both Mexico and the US. Luis is an Industrial Engineer with experience in telecommunications and manufacturing. He specializes in continuous improvement and working alongside engineering departments to achieve efficiency. Luis’s role at Haas requires constant creativity and extensive knowledge of technology systems- he is always ready for the challenge of of solving problems when they arise. In his free time, Luis likes to learn about new technologies that engineers are currently developing and he sometimes plays video games.

Matt has been working in the AV field since 2019 and loves every part of it! He sees low-voltage as the powerhouse that runs the world. Without technicians working in LV, the world we know would cease to exist, and life would be completely different. His love for the field bloomed through his love of music and hooking up speakers at my parents' house. Matt has also been a musician since 10 years old, playing drums and piano. He likes to spend his free time working on his car audio and hiking on the beautiful trails here in Austin.

Donny has over 20 years of experience in our industry. Prior to co-founding Haas, Donny spent over 16 years growing some of the most recognized companies into multi-faceted, multi-million dollar home technology corporations with a national footprint. Previously, he worked as a System Designer and Project Engineer for different residential AV companies and more recently was the head of Design & Engineering for a national AV company where he personally designed and oversaw the completion of some of the most incredible AV systems in the country. Donny’s enthusiasm for his clients, his team, and the home technology industry are key to his continued success.
